Sproutsly connects neighbors to buy and sell plants and produce locally. Many transactions involve in-person pickups, including pickups from private residences. Your safety is important. Please review the guidance below before arranging a meetup.
1. Sproutsly's Role
Sproutsly is a listing platform.
Sproutsly:
- •Does not conduct background checks on users
- •Does not verify the safety of locations
- •Does not supervise meetups
- •Is not a party to transactions between users
All in-person interactions are arranged independently between buyers and sellers.
2. Meeting for Pickup
If you are meeting at a seller's home or another private location:
- •Confirm pickup details in advance through the app
- •Avoid arriving unexpectedly
- •Respect the seller's property and privacy
- •Leave immediately if you feel uncomfortable
If possible:
- •Bring a friend
- •Share the address and meeting time with someone you trust
- •Schedule pickups during daylight hours
- •Keep your phone charged and accessible

3. Protect Your Personal Information
- •Share only necessary information
- •Do not provide sensitive personal details (e.g., financial account info)
- •Avoid sending copies of identification documents
- •Use in-app messaging when possible
4. Inspect Items Before Completing Transaction
Sproutsly does not guarantee the condition, quality, or legality of items listed.
Before completing your transaction:
- •Inspect the item carefully
- •Confirm quantity and condition
- •Clarify price and payment method in advance
All payments occur directly between users. Sproutsly does not process or hold funds.
5. Sellers Hosting Pickups
If you are a seller:
- •Clearly communicate pickup instructions
- •Consider meeting outside or in a visible area
- •Avoid allowing strangers into private areas of your home
- •Remove valuables from visible areas
- •Have another adult present if possible
You are responsible for maintaining a safe environment.
6. Report Suspicious Behavior
If a user behaves inappropriately:
- •Report the listing or user in the app
- •Contact local authorities in case of emergency
- •Sproutsly may remove users who violate our policies
7. Emergencies
If you feel threatened or unsafe:
Call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
Sproutsly cannot provide emergency assistance.
8. No Guarantee of Safety
While we encourage safe practices, Sproutsly cannot guarantee the behavior of users or the safety of meetup locations.
By using Sproutsly, you acknowledge that in-person interactions occur at your own risk.
